The outpatient service is improving day by day and in order to promote nursing quality, promoting the localization of nursing role function and work performance is extremely important.This study was designed as a descriptive investigation. The 170 subjects were nursing staff working in amedical center andwho had outpatient service experience for more than three months.The purposes: to understand the nursing staff’s role function of consensus,expectation,execution,and work performance inoutpatient service.The findings: “check on safety” was the most important role function; the lowest score was “comprehen siveservic eprovider”. There was a positive correlation between expectation and execution and a positive correlation between execution andwork performance.Work performance predictorswere “formal nursing staff,”“teamleader,” and “carryingout,”whichexplained 34%. “Nursing stage”and“nursingwork period”were thepredictors of execution,whichexplained 14%.The predictor of expectationwas “nursingwork period,”which explained 4% of the variance. Based on the results, strengthening the nursing staff role function of cognition, encouraging colleagues to be advanced, and seeking reasonabl ewelfare will retain the post of an outstanding nursing staff. |
