The article discusses nursing experience in a 50 year- old female patient with pulmonary tuberculosisliving in an isolation ward. The writer used theGordon 11 Healthy FunctionAppraisals as a tool, establishing thepatient's nursing problems as: hyperthermia, anxiety, imbalanced nutrition (less than body requirements) ,andsocial isolation. The nursing process reduced the physiology of illness by the improvement of the patient'snutrition condition, concern, empathy, and full explanation of the disease with an emphasis on assisting thepatient in confronting the disease, overcoming the medicine's side-effects, the active space and visitor limit, etc. The goal is to help the patient go through the 2-week isolation period smoothly and return home to continuereceiving treatment. |
