This article discusses the nursing care experience in a 77-year-old male patient. He sufferedfrom right Total Knee Arthroplasty septic loosening after the resection arthroplasty and receivedthe operation in our hospital after the infection was under control. We used the Gordon 11Functional Health Patterns scale to estimate the patient's healthy function, by revealing the majorproblems such as existing infection, pain, physical immobility, and lacking knowledge of the specificdisease.During the nursing process, guided by pre-operation instruction, we listened to the feelingof patients. Our goal was to prevent post operation infection and provide individual nursinginstruction to preserve the patient's limb mobility. Through this experience, the orthopedic nursingstaff may learn more deeply about the caring revision of the arthroplasty patients. It is hoped thatmore effective nursing instructions can be made in this future. |
