“Documentary Material'' in this article means written in words to fulfill the intention of its writer, and has the capable of recording and proving actions of certain people, events and things. Since the invention of writing, various materials have been used for recording ranging from steles, bamboo slips, parchments, fabric and to all sorts of paper and electronic recording, which are often considered carefully categorized and preserved in archives and museums. However, most of the valuable collections are non-electronic records and made of paper. This article represents the arrangement of exhibitions of documentary materials by case studies. One method emphasizes the display of materials in its original format or contents including the exhibition of scripts, replicas and even digitized recordings. The other demonstrates how the contents of materials expanded and transformed into scenes or other exhibitions that are designed to strengthen or even represent the core idea of the record. This article expected that document materials can be used for exhibitions through heavy research, designing of storylines and clever and inventing displays to make the activities more creative and attractive. |
