The goal of digital archives includes the preservation and value-added use of digital content. It respectively involves the important license issue while engaging in the collection and value-added use of digital content. In general, the holder of digital archives plays the role as a licensee in the stage of collecting raw materials, and works as a licensor of digital content. It is obvious that a licensee's major care is different from what a licensor concerns. Hence, from the perspective of the holder, this article tries to explore the possible legal problems and their solutions during licensed and licensing processes for the purpose of promoting the value-added use of digital archives. |
