慢性病單身高齡榮民死亡態度之探討

A Study of Attitudes toward Death of Single Aging Veterans with Chronic Diseases

本研究目的為探討慢性病單身高齡榮民之死亡態度，研究對象為65歲以上之慢性病單身高齡榮民，採立意取樣方式，選取符案榮民共計95位。以死亡態度量表進行結構性問卷調查，內容分為死亡恐懼、死亡逃避、中性接受、趨近接受、逃離接受等五分量表。研究結果顯示單身高齡榮民在死亡態度的五個分量表得分情形，以中性接受量表平均得分最高，其次為逃離接受量表，而死亡恐懼量表分數最低，顯示出單身高齡榮民對死亡態度有較高的中性接受與較低的死亡恐懼態度。研究中發現宗教信仰虔誠度、罹患疾病及婚姻等因素，對慢性病單身高齡榮民之死亡態度有顯著的影響。本研究結果可提供醫護人員作為臨床照護上之應用。

This research was conducted to investigate the attitudes of single, veterans aged over 65 withchronic diseases toward death. The researchers used the Structural Questionnaire and PurposefulSampling. The subjects were measured on five scales: Fear of Death, Death Avoidance, NeutralAcceptance, Approaching Acceptance and Escaping Acceptance. The researchers were dividedinto four groups to gather data and obtained 95 useful and reliable questionnaires. The analysis ofthe survey data showed that Neutral Acceptance scored the highest. Scored the lowest. The researchshowed that the EscapingAcceptance ranked next and Fear of Death veterans had a positiveattitude toward NeutralAcceptance and Fear ofDeath. In fact, there were several important factorsthat influenced attitudes toward death, such as the piety of religious belief, illness, marriage, etc.This study has practical applications for clinical care by medical workers.
