This research was conducted to investigate the attitudes of single, veterans aged over 65 withchronic diseases toward death. The researchers used the Structural Questionnaire and PurposefulSampling. The subjects were measured on five scales: Fear of Death, Death Avoidance, NeutralAcceptance, Approaching Acceptance and Escaping Acceptance. The researchers were dividedinto four groups to gather data and obtained 95 useful and reliable questionnaires. The analysis ofthe survey data showed that Neutral Acceptance scored the highest. Scored the lowest. The researchshowed that the EscapingAcceptance ranked next and Fear of Death veterans had a positiveattitude toward NeutralAcceptance and Fear ofDeath. In fact, there were several important factorsthat influenced attitudes toward death, such as the piety of religious belief, illness, marriage, etc.This study has practical applications for clinical care by medical workers. |
