Not only affecting planning quality of hydraulic engineering and other important public constructions, hydrology information also plays an important part in academic research, disaster preparedness and response. Management of hydrology information involves a series of actions, which begin with constructing observation stations and transmission system. Moreover, preserving information appropriately would influence efficiency and quality of data utilization. This article is to introduce collection, preservation and utilization of hydrology information. In addition, issues regarding the integration, application and extendibility of digital hydrology information management system are included. |
