The Personal Papers of the Former Presidents of Academia Sinica: the Case of Zhu Jiahua, Wang Shijie and Chien Shiliang

中研院近史所檔案館保存的院史資料中以已故院長的個人檔案最為重要。朱家驊、王世杰、錢思亮三位院長，歷經了中研院的初創、重建與發展時期，對中研院的建樹至為卓越。三位院長檔案所具的史料意義，除建構院史外，更隨個人的經歷，擴及政治、外交、教育、文化與學術等各個層面。早期為利於檔案的保存與推廣，彙輯專題出版史料叢刊；進入數位時代，則將檔案製成數位影像。

The collection of Academia Sinica Materials currently hold by the Archives of the Institute of Modern History of Academia Sinica contains invaluable materials of modern Chinese history. The personal papers from former presidents Zhu Jiahua, Wang Shijie and Chien Shiliang in particular provide a rich source of information shedding light not only on the development of the Academia Sinica itself but also on the greater historical background against which it evolves as one of the most important cultural institutions of the Republican China. While the Archives of the Institute of Modern History has unswerving dedicated itself to the preservation and publication of these materials, it also make use of advanced technology to present them in digital way to facilitate and deepen our understanding of the history of the Academia Sinica as well as that of the Republican Era.
