γ-射線應用於黴害紙質檔案之滅菌處理

The Application ofγ-ray Irradiation for Paper-Based Archives Infected with Fungi

本研究以鈷60γ－射線應用於國立嘉義大學36～46年黴害紙質檔案滅菌處理之探討。試驗結果顯示，黴害紙樣之有效滅菌劑量為3KGy，在此劑量以上之照射，黴害檔案紙樣經以PDA培養基進行培養已無真菌發育現象；經此劑量照射後紙張之白度及紙力並未產生明顯變化。由試驗結果可知，在γ－射線照射時，對於紙張可能存有潛在的劣化作用，採用γ－射線滅菌時，除了必須對真菌有效外，應妥慎選定對於紙張照射處理安全之劑量。

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the feasibility ofγ-ray irradiation for the disinfection of molded paper-based artifacts. The following results can be obtained: 3 KGy ofγ-ray irradiation are sufficient biocidal dosage to the fungi strains. There are not apparent brightness and color change for the filter papers after 3 KGy ofγ-ray irradiation, whereas the decrease in breaking length and folding endurance of papers occurred gradually.γ-ray irradiation applied for treating molded paper artifacts may induce damage potentially, and it must be used carefully. In addition further tests would be needed.
