商業檔案之發展與鑑定

The Development and Appraisal of Business Archives

商業活動是社會發展的重要一環，記錄商業活動的商業檔案自然也就承載了重要的社會記憶。在臺灣，商業檔案的管理及保存，遠不及政府機關檔案般受重視。本文首先探討商業檔案的特質與功能，並介紹國際間的商業檔案典藏單位、相關協會以及美、英、澳、丹麥等國的商業檔案保存概況，最後探討商業檔案的鑑定原則與方法，做為國內商業檔案管理及保存之借鏡。

Business activity is an important part in development of society, and business archives hold essential memories of society. In Taiwan, the attention paid to business archives is much less than that paid to government archives. This article firstly reviews both characteristics and functions of business archives. Moreover, the author introduces development of business archives management in the world, including several archival repositories, association, and preservation efforts for business archives made by USA, UK, Australia, and Denmark. The principles and methods of business archives appraisal are finally discussed in this article.
