Odontogenic cellulitis is an acute, persistent infectious disease. Mostly, oral bacteria originated from infected tooth, diffusing along the loose connective tissue space and causing severely purulent inflammation that might endanger patients' life. Clinically, most common symptoms are rapidly swelling of neck or face , fever , and difficulty in swallowing. Troublesome manifestations are acute painful sensation, progressive infection, airway obstruction, and sepsis , which indicate the necessity of nursing care and nutrition support. As to the odontogenic cellulitis , we have to recognize pathway of infection, local anatomy, as well as the demand of individual patient to improve their health problems. Furthermore , diminishing the discomfort and preventing complications are effective treatments of odontogenic cellulitis. Finally, we should understand this disease more clear1y and offer better care sequentially. |
