談大學之美學教育：比較國內外九所大學之通識美學教育現況

Aesthetic Education in College General Education: A comparison of nine colleges in aesthetic education

自2007年美國哈佛大學對通識教育進行改革，全世界高等學校均跟進仿效學習，通識教育扮演的角色是獨立於本科學習之外，學生可以自由自主的修習，拓展對其他領域的興趣，培養健全人格及自我思考批判的能力，厚植畢業之後的實力（to life beyond college）。過去有許多探討國內外大學通識教育現況及改革之文章，少見單獨探討通識教育之美學教育課程者，近年來教育部開始於各級學校提倡美學教育及美感的養成，本文以美學教育為中心，比較國內外九所大學包含美國、中國及台灣各三所大學之美學教育現況，本文發現學校通識教育的架構是學生接觸美學教育多寡的關鍵，在架構上設立兩項門檻的學校如：哈佛大學、復旦大學、中山大學，其每位學生可選的美學開課數較高，提供學生更多接近美學教育的機會，本文並比較不同地區通識美學教育課程之異同，提出對美學教育的建議。

Ever since Harvard University carried on its General Education Reform in 2007, other universities followed. General Education courses aim to provide a variety of courses for students to develop their multiple interests and learning intentions. General Education help students to form a holistic perspective and critical thinking, to build competitive abilities to life beyond college. Recently due to the education ministry in Taiwan advocates aesthetic education in all schools, aesthetic education has gained the importance. Past researches focus on the comparison of general education and its reform, our study aims to understand aesthetic education in general education. This study compares the aesthetic education implementation among 9 colleges.
