Ever since Harvard University carried on its General Education Reform in 2007, other universities followed. General Education courses aim to provide a variety of courses for students to develop their multiple interests and learning intentions. General Education help students to form a holistic perspective and critical thinking, to build competitive abilities to life beyond college. Recently due to the education ministry in Taiwan advocates aesthetic education in all schools, aesthetic education has gained the importance. Past researches focus on the comparison of general education and its reform, our study aims to understand aesthetic education in general education. This study compares the aesthetic education implementation among 9 colleges. |
