“Apocalypse” is a growing type of online novels. It reflects the new changes in the status, functions and working conditions of ordinary workers in the current social reality, as well as the corresponding psychological experience and behavioral responses of people. Based on the presentation and expression of “living” in “Apocalypse” novels, this article attempts to expose its inner meaning. “Living” is the survival experience of the “Apocalypse” novel, its belief in survival, and its survival predicament. “Apocalyptic” novels must end the “living” ideological hegemony in order to truly become “end of the world.” In turn, they induce localized “Apocalypse” vision, transform traditional cultural concepts, induce the psychological structure of the masses, and subtly become the future “utopia” construction. |
