In hospitals and clinics, the air pollutants diffusion by medical treatment, medical materials and the ingredients of cleaning supplies affects indoor air quality, especially in the dental clinics. The air-conditioning design without fresh air ventilation causes the air pollutants circulated in the medical space to impact the human health. This study surveyed the indoor air quality in dental clinic and analyzed the impacts in different interior space plan and decoration. The result shows three types of space plan, such as (1) Non-partition separation space, (2) Partition separation space with connecting route, (3) Partition separation space without connecting route. The significant high air pollutants concentration was measured in Non-partition separation space because of airborne infection. Therefore, this study submits the solution from ventilation, equipment remodel, and space renovation.
