According to the information of Department of Statistics from Ministry of the Interior, the land area of Kaohsiung City is the smallest compared to that of Taichung City and Taipei City from 2001 to 2010 before the five municipalities merger. However, the population density of Kaohsiung City is the highest in Taiwan. This paper is aimed at the private condominium with the large interior space, which locates at the main concentration area in Kaohsiung City—, the 44th Redevelopment Zone and the 16th Agriculture Section expropriated of Gushan District, from expropriated to explore the spatial characteristics and development evolution of the historical dwelling unit plan. The research found out that the ratio of the various types of space in the congregated house with large interior space in Gushan District of Kaohsiung City is similar to that of Xinyi District of Taipei City. The most significant difference is upon the bathroom space and the personal studio space between two areas, being before and after which are being land redevelopment and regional expropriation. After the completion of land development , the proportion of bathroom space is increasing over the period of time, on th3 contrary, that of the personal studio space is decreasing. Furthermore, the benchmark of —indoor area as more than 188.43m2, it would be regarded as the " Large Interior Space " of the congregated house in the two districts, the 44th Redevelopment Zone and the 16th Agriculture Section expropriated, in Kaohsiung City.
