Climate is a major factor on energy consumption of buildings. One should understand the climate characteristics properly in order to accurately predict building energy consumption and propose appropriate energy-saving improvement measures. This study used statistics time of global climate warming and abundant meteorological station data to reevaluate the building climate classification of Taiwan with ASHRAE STANDARD 169-2013 standards. The WRF simulation was used to provide more accurate and continuous altitude analysis and climate zoning boundaries resulting a more reliable Taiwan climate classification map. This study is a good reference for building energy conservation design in Taiwan and integrated with international researches.
