According to the United States Renal Data System(USRD),the incidence rate and prevalence rate of the end-stage renal disease(ESRD)in Taiwan was the top1 ranking around the world in 2007. There are tremendous needs of the nemodialysis patients needs to be identified. The end-stage ranal disease patient needs long term hemodislysis to maintain their physical functions, but the symptoms of anemia, weakness, lack of appetite, and fatigue are never absent, and usually causes the depressive mood among the group. The aim of this article was to design a international travel plan for those groups with special health concerns The daily activities of hemodialysis patients were usually restricted by their weekly hemodialysis therapy. Go aboard was a dream for most of the patients, the article proposed a travel plan which included the demographic analysis of the members, pre-departure planning, risk assessment, special diet arrangement, hemodialysis therapy arrangement, and physical monitor of patient conditions. Through the multidisciplinary cooperation between medical health personnel and travel agents, we may provide a healthier and safer travel plan for the tourists with special health needs to promote their quality of life . |
