In April 2015, the annual meeting of Alzheimer’s Disease International in Australia proposed to be committed to raising the awareness of dementia and create a friendly community for the dementia. To allow the Dementia elderly to use their community facilities and continually participate in social activities, it will enable to release their dementia symptoms. This study is to utilize the questionnaires and conduct the survey with 31 dementia seniors and their families to analyze the current situation, satisfaction and government policy awareness on the use of community environment and related issues. The conclusions are as follows: (1) 71% of respondents were unable to find their homes in the community, (2) the frequently visited public facilities in community are park and green (20.8%), the day care center (19.8%), the clinic (17.8%) or the hospital (17.8%) and the market (9.9%), (3) 29% of the respondents said that the current residential community did not reach the friendly community for seniors with dementia, (4) The most unsatisfactory item in the community is lack of suitable activities for the Dementia elderly (33.3%). In the future, the existing community environment should be improved in response to the needs of the respondents to establish a friendly community for the seniors with dementia.
