Project planning is the critical cause which affects the project result. The project manager must to possess the essential ability of project planning skill. Hence, the study aims to improve the cooperative project planning abilities of project manager by using a proposed e-training instruction with a cooperative project planning e-training system based on a collaborative computer-aided learning (CCAL) mechanism, and then a collaborative project planning model and suitable e-training course were developed for collaborative project planning, and a web-based computer-supported collaborative platform called the Project Planning Ability Training System (PPATS), was implemented to support the execution of collaborative training program for project planning. A cooperative project planning simulation was used as a teaching experiment. The experimental results proved that when learners used the proposed e-training instruction to study, they exhibited superior learning performances levels and cognition abilities. Learners improved their project planning abilities in collaborative situations, irrespective of their initial cognition or implementation abilities, and the learning effects were superior to those produced using traditional instruction. |
