運動防護員經常提供專業服務於各種運動賽會中，主要以緊急急救、預防貼紮、傷害評估、體能訓練、協助復健與健康行政等工作，除了須具備豐富的學科知識與術科專長外，更須考取防護員資格證明書，方可成為一位合格的運動防護員。目前，每年平均有16位運動防護員取照，合格率約為26.8%，顯示運動傷害防護觀念已逐漸進入軌道，為了讓大家更了解運動防護員的專業與任務。本文以臺灣運動防護組織的緣起，介紹運動傷害防護的專業發展，以及運動防護員的專業養成，提供讀者對運動防護員有更進一步的認識與了解。

The athletic trainer main job includes emergency treatment, taping, assessment of injuries, physical training, rehabilitation, and health care administration. In addition, if you want to become a certified athletic trainer, must has extensive knowledge and experience, and obtain an athletic trainer license. At present, there were 16 persons to get certificates annually, the pass rate was 26.8 percent. For this reason, the concept of the prevention of sports injuries is gradually valued. In order to make everyone understood profession and task about athletic trainer.
