This article aimed to review the influence of international and domestic gender equity movement on sports and PE in Taiwan. In this article, Gender Equity Education Act, Brighton Declaration, and CEDAW were accentuated, while best practices from US, Japan, and Australia were introduced. The suggestions were proposed as the following themes: 1) to provide resource about gender equity to educators, staffs and administrators for elevating their gender awareness and sensitivity; 2) the government and sport organizations should implement the content of act, declaration and convention actively; 3) to encourage official sport organization ally with NGO and NPO for promoting gender equity in sport and PE; 4) to plan and implement national project and evaluation for promoting gender equity.
