Problem solving teaching has increasingly drawn more and more attention in international social work. This study aims to address how problem solving is embedded in social work education, in particular delineating the localized meaning. This study adopted content analysis to examine written feedback from social work undergraduates who took an undergraduate course titled Program Design and Evaluation. Data was collected in the first semester of 2018. Meanwhile, pretest and posttest of questionnaires were applied to evaluate students’learning efficiency. According to the findings, problem solving teaching helped to improve social work students’learning motivation and professional competency development which contributed to advocacy and social transformation.
