Social tagging, one of the most widespread services of Web 2.0, allows users to provide labels or notes for Web contents such as photographs, Web links, artworks, and others. The purpose of this research lies in applying social tagging to Yuyu Yang Digital Art Museum. First of all, the CKIP Chinese Segmentation System is used to process the metadata of each artwork and extract the keywords according to their weights. The extracted keywords represent professional descriptions about individual artworks. Next, public users can freely tag different artworks with any vocabulary. Finally, the tagging system will combine the extracted keywords and the tags from public users to form hierarchical tag clusters and generate a tag map for every category of artworks. This tag map reflects a co-occurrence classification with the participation of public users and hence achieves the goal of folksomony. |
