This study implements a practice of forming individual learning portfolio in the course ”Business Information Retrieval” established in the General Education Center of National Central University. The purposes of this empirical study aim to assess the effectiveness of the portfolio practice on facilitating teaching and learning, and to understand students' opinions and attitudes toward this practice. Results of this study show that the portfolio practice is both interesting and learner-centered, helping students construct what they have learned and encouraging their sense of achievement. In addition, the portfolio practice also serves as a useful tool for assessment reflective of students' learning effects. |
