The paper compiles the related literature about the model of implementing concentrated ethnic education in the inland Tibetan classes in China and also documents the writer's field observations at the Beijing Tibetan Middle School, which was founded in 1987, to find out the reason and process of the establishment of the inland Tibetan classes and to know the education system and characteristics of the classes.Taking the case of the Beijing Tibetan Middle School, the paper is expected to offer some references for Taiwan's ethnic education system, which began in 1993 and includes aboriginal weighted schools, comprehensive junior-senior high schools for aboriginal students and artistic skills classes for aboriginal students, and to trigger some reflections on the system. |
