Key Development Plans(2019)

Located on the Li-Hsing campus of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), TSRI's Tainan Branch was cofounded by TSRI and NCKU and will be inaugurated in June 2020. The two-building complex takes up around 3000 square meters and has attained green building EWH-RN certification. The main research facilities include an over 600-square-meter high specification clean room in keeping with industry research and manufacturing environments and a 115-square-meter testing lab for biophotonic devices. TSRI and NCKU will work together with the industry to research and develop new semiconductor materials, low-power consumption sensors required for the next generation of AI, and semiconductor fabrication technologies suitable for post-3nm nodes.
