One of the keys of whether a Japanese major would win favor over other candidates and whether he would do will at work in the future is his business manners. Lin (2018) proposed the syllabus for the “Ten Tips for Japanese Business Manners”. The course can be completed in 4 to 6 hours. The course covers 10 topics, including: dress codes, bowing, business card exchange, opening/closing doors, tea ceremony, etc. This study is the final report for the practice of the teaching method for the “Ten Tips”.Under the constraint of limited teaching resources, the author of this study aimed to explore the ''minimum necessary requirement'' teaching method and proposed the idea of constructing cultural space and producing video teaching materials, for the purpose of increasing learning motivation and learning efficiency. Teaching business manners is a challenge of teachers'learning ability for self-growth. Most students can identify with the importance of learning Japanese business manners, which is essential for not only improving competency but also implementing the teaching of cross-culture adaptation. |
