In order to enhance social work profession, the Social Worker Act promotes the certification system of specialized social workers. Since 2015, Ministry of Health and Welfare has begun to promote qualified training organizations of social workers, and identified the criteria of “ Specialized Social Workers' Training Program” for the exam qualifications of specialized social workers, providing a reference basis for the current supervision system for social work. However, the core competencies of specialized social workers are not defined in the criteria, so that the content of training courses, hours, and evaluation methods in qualified training organizations are very different. Based on the experience of medical social workers' qualified training organization in a medical center, this study examines core competencies and training evaluation design of specialized medical social workers. Through the focus group and hierarchical analysis methods, the core competencies of the hospital's medical social worker specialist training program are proposed, and the importance differences between sub-assessment items are differentiated. And try to establish an objective evaluation method of each core competency, as a reference for the hospital's future training programs. In addition to establishing the training evaluation items and connotation of specialized medical social workers, the results suggest that the training content, core competencies' project and assessment items should be consistent and relevant. The proportion of core competencies should be consistent with the proportion of the training course, and the important competency should have relative training hours in the course training, in order to meet the training goals. The training evaluation is divided into four major levels: reaction, learning, behavior, and results. Objective evaluation tools are used. Finally, suggestions are provided to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, medical social workers' qualified training organizations, and future researchers. |
