Analysis on Border Inspection Data of Imported Foods and Related Products into Taiwan in 2018

107年度食品藥物管理署（下稱食藥署）受理食品及相關產品輸入之總報驗數為682,575批，其中日本（155,122批）、美國（84,578批）及中國（80,151批）輸入者為前三大來源國，佔輸入總批數之46.9％。檢驗批數為58,915批，檢驗不合格批數為820批，檢驗不合格率為1.3％（檢驗不合格批數／檢驗批數x100），其中以農產品之農藥殘留為主要檢驗不合格項目。107年度輸入食品邊境查驗之結果，依據「食品及相關產品輸入查驗辦法」及風險管控原則，可針對違規紀錄較高之產品類別、來源國與風險因子，施以較強之年度邊境查驗措施，另作為加強對輸入食品業者宣導事項。

In 2018, a total of 682,575 batches of imported foods and related products were submitted to Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) for import inspection. The main countries of origin were Japan, the United States and Mainland China, from which 155,122, 84,578 and 80,151 batches were imported respectively, together, they represented 46.9% of the entire cohort. Out of the 58,915 batches tested, 820 batches (1.3%) were found to be non-compliant. The main cause of non-compliance was pesticide residues in agricultural products. The results of the import inspection provided valuable management information in evaluating the risks of various food categories, food origins and risk factors for the control of imported food.
