Investigation of Plastic Food Utensils, Food Containers or Packaging Labeling and Sanitation Standard Compliance in 2018

塑膠材質為食品器具、食品容器或包裝經常使用的材質，本研究透過抽樣調查市售常見用於接觸高溫食品、且食品接觸面含塑膠材質之食品器具、食品容器或包裝產品，藉以了解該類產品符合食品安全衛生管理法相關規定之情形。結果顯示50件抽樣產品大多尚能符合標示及衛生標準相關規定，7件產品標示不符規定，2件產品溶出試驗疑似不符限量標準規定，疑似違反食品安全衛生管理法規定之產品，均已移請各地方政府衛生局調查卓處。而未來仍需持續督導業者落實符合法規，並向消費者宣導選購完整標示之產品，同時依產品資訊正確及安心地使用含塑膠材質之食品器具、食品容器或包裝產品。

Plastic is one of the frequently used materials for food utensils, food containers or packaging. In this study, food utensils, food containers or packaging on the market that are intended for high temperature application, and contain plastics on their food contact surfaces are sampled to understand the condition of compliance according to Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation and related regulations. Results demonstrate that most of the 50 samples comply with the labeling and sanitation standards, while 7 samples were found non-compliance in labeling, and 2 samples found suspected non-compliance of sanitation standard in migration test. The suspected non-compliant cases have been forwarded to local government for further administrative processing. In the future, TFDA will still guide and supervise the food businesses to follow the regulations. Consumers are advised to choose food utensils, food containers or packaging with comprehensive labeling, and to follow product instructions for application thus to use them at ease.
