This study aims to understand the influence of journal evaluation system on editors and contributors. The purpose of this study is to discover the influential relationship between journal evaluation system, editors and contributors by investigating the formulation and the process of journal editing. To achieve the purpose of this study, methods of questionnaire survey and interview are adopted. This study focuses on the field of library and information science, and the objects of the study are the full-time teachers and the journals in the field. As a result, a total of 39 contributor questionnaires and 10 journal editor questionnaires were collected, and 11 journal editor interviews were conducted. The results of this study show that: (1) evaluation indicators affect the editorial policy of a journal; (2) submission willingness is influenced by the evaluation results; (3) rigorous editing can increase submission willingness. |
