及物輕動詞為分段主要語：鄒語、台灣華語及閩南語的例證

Transitive Light Verb as Phase Head: Evidence from Tsou, Taiwan Mandarin, and Taiwan Southern Min

本文採Chomsky的分段理論，將台灣南島語言鄒語的及物後綴-a與台灣華語的及物‘給’、台灣閩南語及物ka7皆分析為輕動詞分段主要語，具有邊緣屬性，會吸引直接賓語移入其外指示語邊緣位置，並可從該邊緣位置遞次逐級往上攀升，與其基底痕跡形成長距離的依存關係。此一分段分析除了可以說明直接賓語的強制移出限制及其主題特性之外，也可以解釋輕動詞之層層堆疊現象。

This paper analyzes as a transitive light verb and a phase head the Tsou suffix -a, the Mandarin preverbal particle geiTR, and Taiwan Southern Min preverbal particle kaTR. As a phase head, -a, geiTR, and kaTR bears an edge feature and attracts the direct object within its c-commanding domain to its outer specifier, from where the shifted direct object can move further up in the sentence. This phase-based account explains not only the obligatory movement of a direct object but also the multiple occurrences of –a/geiTR/kaTR within a sentence.
