Ehrlichiosis are tick-borne zoonoses. In Taiwan, studies of ehrlichiosis mostly involve animal cases. However, human ehrlichiosis started emerging in recent years. The disease generally presents as undifferentiated fever, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and impaired liver function. The purpose of this review is to highlight the epidemiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of these distinctive infections. |
