The focus of this paper is to introduce the situation of Taiwan's theses and dissertations being sent to the National Central Library. The Taiwan Degree Conferral Act has just been amended, giving the National Central Library the responsibility of collecting and providing electronic dissertations. The author hopes to analyze the past situation in which the National Central Library promoted the deposit of dissertations, and as a record of efforts. The library's repository of dissertations and the use of the public must also take into account the author's copyright rights and scholarly communication, open access and use convenience, promote the progress of academic research, and reduce improper plagiarism, the degree of dismissal of the degree in violation of academic ethics. In addition to reviewing the implementation results of the National Central Library in the past, this paper examines the experience of advanced countries and further assumes responsibility for collecting and providing dissertations for national libraries in advanced countries. This article also selects several cases to introduce as a reference for the review of the current policy of the National Central Library and the collection of e-dissertation and service operations. |
