The educational quality is the key of national competitiveness in the globalisation era. Establishing a set of proper educational profession competence standards for teacher education is the threshold of the educational quality. The aim of the study was to develop the standards mentioned above, and literature review and Delphi were adopted as research methods. Questionnaire was conducted accordingly to ensure the fitness of the standards to practice, and was used to explore the educational profession attitude, competence, and practice of students in teacher education programs. In 2013, 193 students and 143 internal intern schools were sampled. Compared with the result, the fitness of the standards was verified, and intern schools rated the professional attitude, competence and practice of students higher than students rated themselves. According to the result, persistantly adopting the professional performance stardards, and setting the database of student intern schools, to trace the professional attitude, competence and practice of the students, as well as to offer the reference for administration formulating the policy, teacher education designing the curriculum, and intern schools making learning plans for students. The implications of the findings were proposed for the reference. |
