When architects must revise their design proposals incessantly during the early design stage, and energy conservation consultants must commit extensive time to assisting the architects, which is very costly. In situations when design information is rapidly changing, current design information processing and cooperation models may make it difficult to incorporate the views of energy conservation consultants, and more generally lead to difficulty in integrating professional knowledge from different fields. This study consequently relied on interviews with specialists to gain a better understanding of Taiwan architects' working processes, and employed Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) to draw architectural processes, find the times of key tasks, and confirm the information interchange needs and documents of various parties. This study employed generative modeling as a key information integration technology. By closely linking the design tools used by architects and the environmental simulation and analysis software used by energy conservation consultants, this tool can save design production time and reduce model revision costs. Furthermore, the results of simulation can be quickly returned to architects and energy conservation consultants, which can reduce team communication time and costs and accelerate decisions made by architects, consultants, and project clients.
