依據美國食品藥物管理局于1936年之定義,蜂蜜係指蜜蜂將採摘之植物花蜜與植物分泌出之具甜味物部份轉化並儲存于蜂巢中之謂。在國內自然環境條件下,除了果樹花盛開之春季與夏季,可釀出純正蜂蜜外,秋季與冬季等季節,養蜂者多以糖水餵養蜜蜂以獲取蜂蜜,更甚者有在蜂蜜中添加糖水之情形,則其品質可能較不耐久藏,為了瞭解市售蜂蜜中是否有添加防腐劑以避免品質變壞之情形,遂進行此調查。民國74年間,由本局及本部檢驗站與南部檢驗站協助,各依其責任區域劃分全省為四區,即北區、中區、南區及東區,分三梯,以隨機價購方式,抽購200件蜂蜜檢體,價購對象為養蜂場與零售商店,檢驗項目為去水醋酸及其鹽類,己二烯酸及其鹽類、苯甲酸及其鹽類,對羥苯甲酸及其酯類。檢驗方法係依據行政院衛生署71.8.16衛署食字第388288公告「食品中防腐劑暫行檢驗方法」;檢體先以薄層層析分析法鑑別蜂蜜中添加之防腐劑種類,再以氣相層析分析法加以鑑別並定量。
200 samples of beehoney were purchased from bee keep houses and markets all over Taiwan Area, and the preservatives were tested by thin layer chromatography and gas chromatography, The results showed that 2 of the 200 samples were found to have preservatives, namely butyl p. hydroxybenzoate and benzoic acid, and the concentration of the two preservatives were 0.044 g/ Kg and 0.114 g/Kg, respectively. |
