The cultural industry is progressively gaining greater acceptance in the consumer market. Where contemporary cultural and creative product designs are placing much emphasis on commercialization, cultural and creative products are losing their inherent spirit of refinement and sophistication, eventu- ally leading to negative impacts on the ''cultural industry'' in Taiwan. Therefore, in the process of cul- tural and creative product development, the issue on how to achieve a balance between ''commerciali- zation'' and ''conservation of the spirit of cultural connotation'' will be the objective of this study. This study will be based on case studies and on-site field surveys. An observation on domestic cases of cultural and creative industries and an analysis and evaluation will be carried out. Reference models and indicators will then be established to provide a reference for future operations by individuals en- gaged in the cultural entrepreneurial industry. |
