The case of indigenous Katratripul tribe is located in Taidong, east coast of Taiwan. Over past 30 years, they tried to recover and use their traditional sacrifice and special educational system as the medium of cultural collecting, preserving and accessing. From 2011, the author as the documentary filmmaker has produced several documentaries about the issue. But now, the author as the archivist will collaborate with people of tribe to collect, preserve and access an audiovisual archive of the process (not only documentaries, but also community videos and home videos). Through the method of film archiving, the author will try to clarify how community archiving help the tribe and its people to build their own subjectivity. |
