New Chinese Poem Writing Guide was a famous column appeared on 3-6-9 Tabloid. It described and criticized the various phenomenon of contemporary society. By using the framework of prestigious Chinese Poem Writing Guide and the language of Southern Min vernacular, the authors of the column created collectively a new writing style of mixing classic and folklore, and elegant and vernacular, which abounds in a kind of fresh beauty. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the linguistic elements that make the style successful, and to show the aesthetical features that these works had exposed. |
