Marketing of Agricultural Exports in Taiwan

第二次世界大戰後，包括初級與加工的農產品，為臺灣賺取相當大的外匯，而隨著工業化的快速成長，農業雖相對地失去在出口中所占的重要性，然而，農產品出口在絕對值方面，仍呈現穩定的成長趨勢，尤其是加工農產品的出口，更是扮演著極為重要的角色。為反應國內與國際環境的變遷，政府已於1960年代實施一連串的措施，以改善生產與運銷環境。 After the Second World War, the export of agricultural commodities, both processed and primary, contributed very much to the foreign exchange earnings of Taiwan. With rapid progress of industrialization, agriculture has lost its relative importance in the exports. But in absolute terms, agricultural exports, however, had shown steady increases up. Especially, the export of processed agricultural products played an important role in the export of agricultural commodities. In response to the changed domestic and international situations, the government has since 1960's carried out a series of measures to improve production and marketing conditions.
