The Impact of Korean Wave to the Consuming of Korean Food and Cultural Imaginations: An example of the Korean restaurants' consumers in Yi-zhong Street

飲食是人類最基本生存條件,更是累積歷史、社會與文化的重要面向。自從韓流崛起後,臺灣各地也出現一批新的韓國餐廳,有別於十幾年前臺灣的傳統韓國餐廳,新型餐廳緊抓時下流行,賣的是最時髦的菜色口味。本研究從韓國飲食文化出發,透過次級資料分析法與半結構式深度訪談法探討韓流興起後臺中哈韓族在一中商圈韓國餐廳的消費經驗。結果發現:韓國料理藉由韓流逐漸滲入臺灣日常生活飲食系統的過程,不應該單純的解釋為全球在地化的結果,韓食消費者並非韓食文化的被動接受者,他們對與自身文化價值衝突的部分韓國飲食仍具有相當程度的選擇權,除消費美食外,更要藉由吃的過程來實踐心中所嚮往的韓國。 Diet is essential to human's living and a critical aspect of accumulating history and social culture. Since the Korean Wave started, there are many Korean restaurants emerging in Taiwan. Different from the traditional Korean restaurants in Taiwan ten more years ago, the new restaurants' appealing point is normally the current trend and what they sell are the most stylish dishes and flavors. This study starts from Korean food culture, and explores the dining experiences of Koreaphile in the Korean restaurants of Yizhong Street through .secondary data analysis and semistructured interviews. From the results, it is found that the process of Korean food infiltrating gradually into Taiwan's daily food life should not be simply interpreted to the glocalization. Those persons who will go to have Korean food are not passive receivers of Korean food culture and in some way they still can have the choice of Korean food culture that is partially contradicted to self's culture. In addition to enjoying the delicious food, they are to realize the attracting Korea in their mind through eating.
