Discussion on The Concept ‘Respects For Timing' Within Huang-Lao Taoism During Warring States Period

本文論戰國黃老道家的重「時」觀，以《黃帝四經》、《管子》為主，兼及慎到思想；並論及與「時」概念緊密相關的「因」、「勢」之概念。全文旨在突顯「時」之觀念在黃老道家思想之重要性，同時可見此一學派與法家思想之關聯，及重「時」觀對後來學說之影響。 This article study the concept 'respects for timing' within Huang-Lao Taoism during Warring States Period, primarily according to Huang-Di-Si-Jing, Guan-Zi, and thoughts of Shendao, and discuss its relationship to concepts of 'causes' and 'circumstances'. It should be emphasized that the concept 'timing' is very important in the realm of Taoism. One part of Taoists who concentrated on concept 'timing' are closely associated with Legalists and have a great influence on the development of the concept 'timing' in the later philosophy.
