This study aims to discuss the correlation among mentoring relationship, mentoring function and organizational commitment of field staff in MJIB (Investigation Bureau, Ministry of Justice). The research obtained a total 435 valid observations having mentoring relationship. The findings of this study include: 1. For mentoring function, compared to cross-gender mentoring relationship, protégé in same-gender mentoring relationship received more role modeling mentoring function. 2. For organizational commitment, compared to formal mentoring relationship, protégé in informal mentoring relationship received more effort commitment. Compared to cross-gender mentoring relationship, protégé in same-gender mentoring relationship received more value commitment and organizational commitment. 3. The result indicates that mentoring function positively related to organizational commitment. As well as mentoring function is significantly influence on organizational commitment. |
