Language ability is correlated with thinking system. The former involves “the generic ability”, “the specific ability” and “the complex ability”. These abilities are exercised by thinking and then create literary works. The art of writing, on the other hand, requires “the specific ability” to correspond with its connotation and to present it by means of image (the narrow sense), vocabulary, rhetoric, grammar/syntax, organization, motif, and style, etc. In so doing, language ability, thinking system, the connotation of a literary work and language representation can form a harmonious and integrated relation. Therefore, text reading, in respect of experience accumulation and academic study, shall base on these elements. |
