This study used the Inconel 52M and Inconel 82 alloys to clad SUS316L stainless steel, using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW). The morphology, microstructure, and mechanical properties of the interface werethen analyzed to evaluate the feasibility of replacing the Inconel 52M withInconel 82. The results demonstrate that both the hardness and tensilestrength of the 4-layer Inconel 82 alloy on SUS 316L are superior to thoseof the Inconel 52M alloy. In a bending test of the Inconel 82 alloy, nocracks were generated and ductility exceeded 25%. These results demonstratethe practicality of replacing the Inconel 52M alloy with the Inconel82 alloy. |
