This case study conducted participant observations and surveys to investigate the development and outcome of a science learning center project at the National Science and Technology Museum. The project's main tasks consisted of space improvement, module design, teacher professional development, and student learning enhancement during the early stage of the project. In the second stage, the project scope focused on module design and enhancement through the collaboration with expert teachers. The project organized professional development programs workshops for middle school science teachers to improve instructional practice in classrooms, thereby facilitating scientific learning for students. The findings of this study revealed that the professional development programs and the instructional packages designed by the project are beneficial to professional development and instructional practice. This study also offers suggestions for the further development of the project. |
