Museum networks are becoming more common in practice. The author adopted organizational and management theories to discover more about the network phenomenon. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 practitioners from different organizations. The findings showed that the collaborative process of museum networks would be affected by the aim of collaboration. This research identified three collaborative processes: problem setting, direction setting and implementation. It required identification of the issues that joined the museum networks and built common purpose. The partners should bring their interests to the collaboration. It was important to maintain the relationship, deal with constituencies, and monitor the efficiency. |
