The public evaluates the strength in education and research of a museum largely based on the quality and variety of its publications. These publications divulge the scale and ability in information propagation of museums. This article has three main objectives. First, it reveals the current logistics control of the national museum publications. Second, it compares the sales of promoting materials in museums. Third, it explores the differences and efficiency of the logistics control of museum publications. This article emphasizes the application of new ideology in developing better methods for content storage and enhancing the distribution of publications. Also, it confirms that contemporary technology can be employed for performance improvement and manpower reduction in the process of museum modernization. Today, the enterprise has combined the Internet and SCM (Supply Chain Management) to strengthen the linkage between the business and manufacturing segments for better use of the resources. Museums and the enterprise must engage in building a mutually beneficial environment. Finally, this study reaches the following conclusions. First, each museum needs to promote staff continuing education and its R & D Evaluation Commission should develop a series of courses targeting common goals and self-identity. Second, each museum should enforce technology sharing, acquire a management model to establish its own identity based on its business specialty and work out business plans following the guidelines of its existing policy. |
