Digital natives are born into an information-dense resource-abundant world, and their various needs with regard to libraries must be satisfied by smart libraries which provide the high-quality information content and innovative services. This research is collaborated by NLPI and technical and medical university professors specialized in big-data analysis, interactive media design, knowledge organization, and indoor navigation, and to develop a mixed-reality children library using a wearable smart watch and RFID smart bookshelves for various users in different subjective library spaces. We conducted data analysis on borrowing records to differentiate child users’ preference for introducing appropriate books. We developed the browsing visualized interface for children in different cognition phases. An immersed-game hallway built for children to learn about the categorical number. Analyze users’ reflections and reactions in smart spaces, physical and virtual characteristics, Internet of Things and Human-Information Interaction behaviors, we may construct smart libraries for digital natives to experience advent of digital technologies and services. |
